Can a Woman Have an Orgasmic Birth?

I've heard that some women experience an 'orgasmic birth'. Is this true? How can I make this happen for me?

Orgasmic birth is when a new mom is able to orgasm just as her baby exits the birth canal.

Is it real? Yes, according to hundreds of women who have gone on the record to say that they've in fact experienced an orgasm during birth.

How is that possible? Orgasm during labor is the result of both chemistry and anatomy. Labor is associated with a huge hormonal change that sees way more prolactin, oxytocin, and beta-endorphins. Alongside of the hormones, when the baby comes down the birth canal it is going through the exact same positions as something which cause an orgasm.

The problem with so much pressure to be sexy and sexual, this might become the gold standard for child birth. Which, in my opinion (and after having two children) is absolutely ridiculous.

Great sex tip: If your one of the lucky 'chosen few' who experience an orgasmic birth, count yourself lucky. It is a side-effect not the goal, and should never get in the way of you being present to the birth of your child.

Here is a clip from The Orgasmic Birth Movie is joyous, sensuous and revolutionary presenting us the ultimate challenge to our cultural myths by inviting viewers to see the emotional, spiritual, and physical heights attainable through birth. Witness the passion of birth.
