Happy Valentine’s Day [260Days blog #8]

When I got home from work, Ryan had a bath ready for me. He fed the kids supper, while I relaxed. Then he surprised me with a night out – shopping and coffee. Ryan was also very excited that the valentines lingerie he had ordered from Victoria’s Secret arrived a couple days early.
After the bath, our babysitter arrived and we headed out for a relaxed evening out. We bought some new underwear at La Senza. I feel super sexy in my new La Senza underwear, I think I’m gonna buy some more.
After pick up my new underwear we headed to the food court for a very romantic meal including New York Fries and Jugo juice. It was nice to just sit and talk. Then we headed over to Starbucks/Chapters for some more sitting and talking. We did a little looking around for books and ended in the sex section. It’s kind of funny for us because we were both very scared of this section and now it has become a section we frequent.
When we got home I headed to the bedroom to get ready. I slipped into the red satin gown and tied it, then adjusted the straps, then tied it a bit tighter, then adjusted the straps again… and finally realized that it just didn’t fit. I walked out in the gown that was way too big and Ryan agreed that it looked pretty bad. I was very excited that we would have to send it back and order a smaller size
I changed into the sexy red garter slip we bought for our kick-off and we headed to the bedroom. The plan was to have a romantic, intimate evening. It turned out to be fast, but great because Chloe was involved. “That’s actually okay, because now we have time to watch our shows before bed”, was Ryan’s comment when we were done. It was a great evening with my Valentine!
Hope you had a romantic day with your valentine, Melanie

Hey Trina,
Thanks again for your support! I just wanted to say that we don’t usually celebrate Valentines Day, but it was your words (below) that rang true and got us back on track with such a special day.
“What ever YOU feel about the big ‘V’ Day, please, please please remember this…There’s not enough romance in this world. Valentine’s Day is the one time in the year to remind us to do something romantic for someone else. So if you’re all in favour of the Anti-Valentine Day movement, pray tell when and where are you going to bring romance into your life? Just sayin’.”
Thank you,
Ryan
